PRISME - Perception, Représentation, Imagination, Spatialité, Mémoire, Emotion

L’équipe PRISME de l’Institut Nicod est construite à l’interface entre recherches conceptuelles et recherches empiriques sur la perception.

Elle aborde trois classes fondamentales de questions :

  • La nature de la perception, la caractérisation du véhicule et du contenu perceptif (objets perceptifs, en particulier sons, absences, ombres), la démarcation des modalités sensorielles ainsi que leurs interactions, la récupération d’indices d’action dans la scène perçue, l’architecture du système perceptif.
  • Les sentiments perceptifs –notamment présence, familiarité, certitude, désorientation– et leur rapport avec le contenu (sensoriel ou représentationnel) de l’expérience perceptive.
  • La perception des/par les artefacts cognitifs (images, systèmes de substitution sensorielle), la mobilisation de ressources perceptives dans des processus de haut niveau impliquant des artefacts (diagrammes, cartes, recrutement perceptif).

Deux groupes de recherches sont constitués au sein de l’équipe PRISM :
