Some leading field-primatologists and decision-neuroscientists, as well as behavioral economists and philosophers will meet in the Villa Finaly to address the issue of whether we can categorize some monkey’s decision and exchange behaviors as economic behaviors. Questions such as i) Are the human parameters of Prospect Theory similarly met in rhesus macacques facing uncertain rewards ? or ii) Is the ability of capuchins to exchange tokens for food a proto-monetary behavior ?, etc.
