My primary research interest is the development of formal theories of meaning and communication in natural language, as a part of the cognitive sciences more broadly. My Ph.D thesis, Plurality and Possibility (UCLA), dealt with the interpretation of disjunction in modal contexts. Most recently I've worked on modality, formal pragmatics, plurality, and focus. My CV.
