Gloria Origgi is a researcher at CNRS. She has been trained in Philosophy and Cognitive Science and has written on philosophy of language and mind, epistemology, and more recently, social epistemology and philosophy of social science. She teaches at the Ecole de Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales a seminar on Social Epistemology. She is the founder of the Internet platform for virtual conferences www.interdisciplines.org . She works in many interdisciplinary areas of philosophy and social science.

She has written a book on Trust in French: Qu’est-ce que la confiance? VRIN, Paris, 2008, a book on the philosophy of interdisciplinary research: Repenser l’interdisciplinarité, (with Frédéric Darbellay), Slatkine, Genève, 2010, and a book on how Internet transforms the practices of writing: Text-e. The Future of Text in Internet, Palgrave 2007.

She is also a writer. Her first fictional book was published in Italy in 2008: La Figlia della Gallina Nera, Edizioni Nottetempo, Roma. Her second novel (A tre voci) will be out in Italy in September 2011.

She writes regularly on many cultural supplements of Italian newspapers and international magazines, such as MicroMega, Il Sole 24 Ore,Il Fatto, Iris and has a trilingual blog at: http://gloriaoriggi.blogspot.com.
