I’m working on the relationship between language and cognition, in other words, how the language(s) we speak influence(s) the way we think and behave. My current projects are about gender in its biological/social/conceptual sense and gender in language. We are trying to explain the evolution of grammatical gender systems and how it interacts woth human core cognition by experiments. As grammatical gender seems to play an important role in language acquisition, we also want to find how it works.
