Invitée ENS à l’IJN du 01 au 30 avril

Senior Lecturer, School of Psychology, Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand)

Alia Martin obtained her PhD in 2014 at Yale University. She is now a Senior Lecturer at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, and director of the VUW Infant and Child Cognition Lab (vuwbabylab.com). Alia’s research focuses on how theory of mind inferences are used in different social situations. She has been particularly interested in how infants and children begin to consider intentions, knowledge, and beliefs in the context of communicative interactions, helping behaviour, and action understanding. She also studies the cognitive representations underlying basic theory of mind capacities in nonhuman primates (rhesus macaques) and as human infants.
