PhD topic (March 2010) : Innateness and cognitive science: the language faculty. Conceptual analysis of Chomsky's research program in linguistics. Supervisor : Pierre Jacob.

My PhD focusses on the Chomskyan theory of language, in order to clarify the concept of innateness as used in cognitive science. I propose a conceptual clarification of the different aspects in Chomsky's theory which are linked to nativism (psychological reality of the grammar, argument from the poverty of stimulus, naturalism, language evolution). 

Other interests : evolutionary perspectives on cognition, cognition in apes (visiting student in M. Tomasello's lab in Leipzig), epistemology and history of sciences, materialism, relationships between philosophy and science, criticism of pseudosciences...
