Is the ocean a philosophical object ? The ocean has been conceptualized and reconceptualized in the course of human history, and if on the one hand the representations of which it has been the subject have been a reflection of the societies that overlook it, they have also determined actions and policies that today it is urgent to scrutinize in the context of the Anthropocene.
