Team SEMANTICS: DATA & MODELS

Description

The team 'Semantics, data, and models' conducts in-depth empirical studies (often based on experimental research and corpus data) combined with formal methods.
Various languages are studied (such as French, Italian, Greek, Chinese, English) and pioneering cross-linguistic formal studies are developed in collaboration with high standing universities.
Members of the team work on lexical and discourse semantics, focusing notably on plurals and mass nouns, modals, tense, and aspect, free choice items, prosody, polysemy, and generics.
